This tea garden is a gold mine! Lesser necklaced LT flock, white browed scimitar babbler flock, greater R.tailed drongo, minivets, brown fish owl, white browed piculet, striped tit babbler, pair of serpent eagles,grey headed woodpecker, pied fly catcher...all seen in one slow 360 degree scan! But will try for all these later, first pitta!

Binanda suggested that we look for march babbler too, the one bird that missed our target in siakwa. But for that we had to get deeper into the grassland. I decided against it remembering the fresh wild buffalo dung around. So we started to walk back to our powerful vibrator motor boat!

The glossy maroon was outshining any new cars paint work. Beautiful! Lot of branches in between, hence not a clean image for me. Maroon being my favorite color, I stood there and enjoyed this maroon till it took off.

Heard the story of how the villagers had never seen any vultures in their lifetime and shot when they did while the vultures were feeding on a dead cow. The villagers had thought they were ghost birds!

The village regular hunters say that they spot Wards trogan atleast 3 times a year. Not common. Villagers do not kill trogans for their meat, because they have never seen the trogans feeding and they doubt that they may be meat-eaters! That explains why we keep seeing atleast one of them everyday.
